What is the Equinics' Theme? Each year the organizers pick a theme for the Equinics. In 2006 it was "Jockeys". The theme for the 2008 Equinics revolves around charitable organizations and is named The Race For The Cure. Resident Managers will pick a charity and a race will be named with that charity. The 12 remaining races will be named by supporters of the Equinics as determined by the organizers. I need some ideas please www.pasturesofgreen.com/equinics/faqs.html

Well this is timely for me. My charity is a small one, but very close to my heart. My nephew who is only 12 was recently diagnosed with an invasive form of brain cancer, called Glioblastoma. It would be cool to have a race named for his trust: The Harold Wrightington Trust. But I understand if a bigger charity would be preferred. If so, I'd vote for the National Cancer Society, or something along those lines.

I support the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. But ZMAN's post is a worthy cause. I vote for his.

If no objections, we will go with Zman's charity.
Zman, I might need to get a story from you at some point concerning this charity, can you do that for me at a later date?
I'll let you know the details.
