I love breeding contests! Can limit them to 1st year sires, 2nd year sires, etc. We did the one with no Mr. P or ND in the breeding lines, but did not get a good response to that one. Maybe others prefer non - breeding contests. I like the 10 week contest a lot. Stable earning the most bps over 3 months could also be brought back. I think that contests involving races where we all race our horses together are the best, but I know it's expensive to buy the races. I'm always willing to contribute if credits are needed for races so just let me know. Also, I think I mentioned this before - a few residencies have a residency day where they buy several different types of races restricted to residents only. The trainers that score the most points in all the races would get some credits or prize horse.
Just a few things to think about!

i like zman ideas indeed if you need a hand for credits for races let me know and we all can do something sponors a race for a big day...
maybe find one sire and everybody has to breed from him just one horse and whoever wins the most races with him wins a prize or you know what i mean...
i like the 10 week contest but why not make it 12 weeks instead and ask a few people about differnent rules
good luck all take care mark

How about a contest some what like this one! The Skidz Contest -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are 6 sires that can be used to breed with ONLY 2 YEAR OLDS
the cost of the breeding shall be max 110 bps or credits you can use a mare to breed with or however you do it as long as it doesn't go over 110 bps. You can enter max 3 horses in the contest and post them below.
there will be 400 credits to the first horse that win a stakes race in either this or next year and 200 if there should be one or two more (should be a pretty safe offer ) The owner to the first horse that wins a maiden race get's 100 credits all horses that wins a msw race get's 25 credits The first horse that wins 2 allowances gets 200 credits and the other that wins two allowances get's 50 credits
all of this is only if the horse stays in your training when winning the races Then a list of 2008 sires that can be used. mike aka greentreef

Do you think we have enough people to buy races? I think we have maybe 8 people in here that participate so it really wouldn't be worth it.
So, we will have a breeding contest, 10 week contest.
Anything else?

I'll always sling in a few credits if needed, used to do it at epsomdowns. With regards to next years contests, I like the ones where everyone breeds from the same group of sires at a fixed BP ceiling...I know there's luck involved from the actual breeding, but makes you feel clever if you get a goodun

I did see a contest at another res where the aim was to win 7 races with 1 stable but the trick was each horse had to be a different age
