I wanting wanting to run some other contests as well during the 10 week contest. Is this a good idea or just 1 at a time? I love contests and I'm sure other's do as well. What ideas if any do you have so we can make this residency SUPER EXCITING??? Thanks

I think running other contests is a good idea. I think it's probably best if they are quick - only a few races in a short period of time. Otherwise, people tend to lose interest quick if they aren't winning.
There are a variety of fairly quick contests - bargain bred contests, for example, are pretty easy.
You could also have a "top speed figure" claiming contest - the person who claims a horse who runs the top speed figure in the race it is claimed from wins a prize. I haven't ever seen anyone try this, actually, but it might be interesting
I'll see if I can come up with anything else.

How about this contest? You have say 4 weeks to pick up a horse in the auction for $1.00 and whoever has the best speed figure in their first race wins? You have 4 weeks to race the horse as well and I'll keep track of the speed figure. Just a thought, please let me know what you think.

Here's one to keep with the North American theme--stable has to have one winner from a track in Canada, one winner from a track in the US and one winner from the track in Mexico to grab the prize thus proving to have a global North American stable Teddy ;D

Or you could pick a certain five or six tracks and give everyone a month to get a winner at all of those tracks. Kind of like 3 man, only with tracks.
