Jockeys

Just wondering if anyone else here is placed as a jockey somewhere in the sim. I am in NSW track 54 and I am having a good year to date firmly entrentched in the top 5. I rode Sip of Saki to a Gr I victory a few weeks ago so that was a big thrill. It was actually the second graded race I had won on him so I am 2 for 2 . So if you are ever racing downunder dont have any hesitation in putting B Philp aboard, he wont let you down. Unfortunately I seem to pick up plenty of longer priced runners which obviously runs your stats down a bit. Bigkev also rides at NSW as K Philp.

I was thinking that I will try and use the residency jockeys around the world whenever possible to add a bit more fun to the weekends events.

So where is everyone riding?

I applied this year so I'm still waiting to see if I get one or not.

Over the years, I have put in for several jocks and Mike added some on his own.

1. IRELAND:

EC Doyle - named for my daughter Erin and 3rd at the Ireland track (my jockey of choice there).

D Doyle - one Mike added on his own (previously at the TN track)... have no idea who it is, but I asked that he be moved to Ireland... I do have a cousin named David... perhaps it's him... LOL. (currently 6th at Ireland... was in the top 3 or 4 in TN)

T Ranger - another Mike added on his own (I think he was from another track too originally... asked Mike to transfer him to Ireland also) ... lower half of the pack in Ireland.

L Doyle - I guess this one was named for me (I think I asked for this one, but not sure anymore... he is pretty poor... LOL... sometimes I will give him the mount for a brand new starter.

2. SWEDEN:

F Stephenson (asked for this one... named for my mother)... her father (my grandfather on my mother's side) was of Swedish decent... about half way down the list... really a decent jockey though, at least for me.

3. DENMARK:

S Mcdowell (asked for this one too... the Irish Mcdowell clan is closely related, I understand, to the Doyle clan)... first name Sean... named for my son. Last on the list but usually has decent ITM ratings.

4 GERMANY:

W. VonBraun (asked for this one too... I think I might have had one too many Guinness the night I asked Mike for this one... ;D ... named for the great rocket scientist, Werner. Both of my grandmothers were of German descent... last on the list also but, once again, usually decent ITM ratings.

I think that about covers my jockeys... don't think I have any right to ask for more...

Ahh larry, didnt expect that. But it is nice to know, rest assured your jocks will be getting a few more rides from my stables.

Other than the 2 in Nsw we have 2 others. N Kelly rides in Texas. Named after the famous bushranger. He is a very competent jock. Having a pretty good year but like most he suffers from lack of favourites.
The other one is B. Cokebottle at Ascot. He is way down the ladder but is riding at 10% this year. Just doesnt get the opportunities.

I will let you know if you are riding any of my horses.

Just found a J Doyle riding in Wyoming... didn't know about that one at all... perhaps it's an unrelated Doyle. However, if no one else claims him/her, I'll just say she is my niece Jenni.
