Ok.
Thanks MrLucky for the instruction on breeding. It should be helpful. What I would liek to get from some of the wise around here is what approach do i take to breeding. I am capped right now with only 133 BP's.
I guess I understand how it is done but what method would you suggest or where is there a good place to find horses to use for breeding.
If some one could use some laymans terms to break down sire selection that would be helpful also.
Thanks for having me aboard and once I get it down I will be an active participant. By the way, if you haven't aleady figured it out my name is Mike.
Thanks again everyone.

Mike,
Here is a couple things to try.
First, the Black Type Bugler has a breeding corner with a large archive of helpful information.
Also. The main site has "leading sire" and "Horse ranking" links. The leading sires gives you a good list of sires to start exploring and experimenting with. In the horse rankings you can check out the most successful horses and see the types of breedings that seem to work the most.
With a list of sires to start exploring, go to the breeding 'ticker' and enter the name of one of the sires. Then click on the little (s) next to his name. That will get you into a nice database where you can see every single horse in the sim by th at sire, or dam sire. See what types of breeding lines work and do not work. Also you c an see the most popular breedings and what mixtures have maybe never been tried. This is what I do.
Hope that helps gets you started. Also there are 10 trainers in here that know what they are doing more then me and I hope they will chime in here.
Jim

Also check out Knightmare's breeding articles in the Black Type Bugler. He does a great job of explaining breeding combos, you'll learn alot! he aslo recommends differnet bargin combinations with the sires he writes about, so you can get some good bloodlines for a small amount of bp's. You may also want to check out his website: www.yoss.info/knightmare/The more you read & the more your research, the faster you'll learn - but there is also a lot of trial and error in this game. Best of luck!

In the weekly advice forum there are 2 lists of sires and dams. I got them from yoss. Roberts site is great. Also go to nexis and check out Euan's cookbook. Lists combos or pedigrees. I always use them. ts1442

HEY MIKE, WITH ONLY 133 BP'S YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO BE ABLE TO BREED A BARGAIN BRED AS THE MORE POPULAR SIRES WILL COST YOU MUCH MORE THAN THAT. YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL YOU EARN MORE BP'S TO BREED A BETTER HORSE AND SIMPLY USE THE AUCTION OR CLAIMING ROUTE TO IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY OF HORSES IN YOUR STABLE. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREED NOW I WOULD WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT OR SUNDAY MORNING WHEN THE PRICES ARE AT THEIR LOWEST (THE PRICES FOR SIRES START VERY HIGH AND GET LOWER AS THE WEEK PROGRESSES--THESE PRICES ARE DETERMINED BY THE PLAYER DEMAND FOR THEM) AND CHECK OUT WHAT SIRES ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN THE PRICE RANGE YOU HAVE. CLICKING ON BARGAIN BRED SIRES IN THE BREEDING SECTION WILL LIST YOU THE AVAILABLE LOW COST SIRES--IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO BREED A CHAMPION FROM THESE SIRES BUT STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED IN THE SIM. GOOD LUCK WITH WHATEVER DECISION YOU MAKE AND LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING HOW YOU MAKE OUT IN THE FUTURE ON THE REZ BOARD. TEDDY
