Since I live in Ohio, I thought about making Ohio our "HOME TRACK". Basically, what that means is that we will run our sponsored residency races there and have some sort of bonus when horses run there. I have no clue on a good name for the rez. What does everyone think about that? Anyone have any good names to use? Thanks
Only name I can think of is something like Ohio Buckeye Country or something like that.

One suggestion. MJC based in Maryland gave bonuses for running in Maryland. But they also including all of the surrounding states. If we do it that way we will have a bit more flexibility in placing horses, but still have a central base in Ohio. That worked for me since I tended to debut new breds in Maryland and none of those have strayed far off still even though MJC is gone. Some surrounding states of Ohio overlap into other territories, but Ohio itself is not taken is it?
For a new name? Right now I am too hungry to think of any non food names. Wil think about it later.
Jim

I think its a good idea. MN does the same thing with their res. Would not have a problem extending it to nearby states, but I don't think its necesary. Agree with the simple name approach, it will give the res more of an identity, although VT has done pretty well with Green Pastures!
