I'll start... I give my stables a Quad Yeah! for the week!
25 runners, SEVEN winners, a couple 2nd's, FIVE 3rd's... Add a 4th and 2 5th's, and it all added up to 337 BP's.
Of those 27 winners, two were 2yo's. PhonesDownInBack won at first asking, and Simply Sapphire won in her third career try. Also, I got a wild hair and decided to try Hay Hoof Hearted in the Grade 1 Hopeless Stakes after just his maiden win... He finished 7th but was in the race until the last furlong, only beaten four lengths while putting up an improved speed of 82.
Best overall 2yo year I've had yet... So far, eight homebred 2009 2yo's have won for me... A MUCH better year than, say 2007... That year, I didn't get my first homebred 2yo winner until the last week of December.
