I'll start... 21 runners, 4 wins, 4 places, 3 shows, 3 4th's and a fifth. 267 BP's picked up... Nice week  Started the week with 120 horses in my 12 stables, and it stayed that way. Most important to me was what Jumpin' Myrtle, my new 3yo daughter of she-maled G1 winner Jumpin' Java, was gonna do in her debut... She settled in 4th early on in her 8f-dirt MSW race, 2.5 lengths of the pace... Gradually, she moved into 2nd, a couple lengths off the leader, then rolled right on past him in midstretch... and got the win! She earned a 78 SR for her efforts, finishing the mile in 1:38. Of course, this proves little on Myrtle's true quality, but at least she shows signs of not being a disaster after all my hand-wringing over replacing the great Jumpin' Java... I feel MUCH better now Next, probably a nw1x or nw2l allowance in week 3861... Other winners: Smarter Dane in a 25k claimer, Freedom Train in an allowance, and Banal Wells in an allowance, his 12 career win, and 6th since I claimed him back in July '07. Also, did well with my picks to represent me in the 10-week contest... Both ran 2nd in 14-horse fields. |
