The formula is very simple, and should award (on the average) residencies more credits than before (every residency that was credited this week was credited more than they would have been under the old system).
Residencies that earn 1000 or more breeding points during the week will be awarded credits equal to the number of breeding points they earned divided by 8. Residencies that earn less than 1000 in a given week are not awarded.
The formula is simple and meant to be so. This removes the reason to try and "gimmick" the system by splitting a large residency into two smaller residencies to double-dip on points. This also ensures that all fair sized active residencies, not only the top 20 residencies, will be awarded.
Larger residencies obviously earn more credits. Try and remember that the number of credits earned by a residency is not meant to be a competition. As larger residencies have more residents, this only makes sense, as events they stage will generally be for more players. Earning more credits is now as easy as growing your residency with effective players, and residencies are only limited by the size they wish their residency to be (not the 300 point cap that was previously in place). There is also no doubting about how much the residency you support earned in a given week; that information is now public. As before, residency managers may or may not be given a weekly bonus for running the residency.

As posted by Mike on the main MB! Simple formula that rewards rezs that earn bp's. From the rez list we are 12th for last week and earned 2699 bps. That makes 337 credits for the week. I post this to let us know the importance of support and not to steal Mr. Lucky's glory.
