Mixed results here... 20 runners, only one winner, 4 places and 3 shows  The GOOD news, however, is that my winner and one of my places were the two I chose for the 10-week contest. Potentially even BETTER is.. My winner, #69442 BAEZ, was making his first attempt on the grass, after 31 previous starts. I claimed him several starts ago, hoping to make some hay in dirt-sprint starter allowances. He won his first for me, with a 101 speed fig. Then, I started having trouble finding races for him, and lost four straight, mostly in inappropriate spots. His breeding said Dirt, but I ran him for $35k today on the turf, and WHOOOSH!!! A 105 speed fig! Fortunately, he wasn't claimed  BAEZ won't be seeing the dirt or claimers in the near future... |

Well I am smiling on the outside as my stables had 27 of 44 horses making me $ and BP', including 10 1st in the mix.But sort of crying on the inside as the one horse that I wanted to do well, came in 6th in it's race. I was really hoping that it would be a sim star, after 3 straight wins, but just couldn't keep up with the big boys in the grade 1.
