A very good day in my (Ohio based) grimmie stable... 111 BP's earned... 3 wins, and also a 2nd and a 3rd with eight running. All three wins were in different cats which was my success in the 3-man. But it could have been better... at the last minute I changed one of my picks for the new 10 week contest... should have left it as it was. The two I had picked originally were a stakes runner... Elyod's Cause who won with a speed of 107...her fifth win in a row (the last three in ungraded stakes)... I changed it because I thought I saw the race was being run at 6.5 furlongs instead of her much preferred 6 furlongs... she's that picky... LOL. I misread it... the race WAS at 6 furlongs afterall... nuts!!! She won and would have netted me 27 points. I know you all feel sorry for me... ;D The allowance runner I picked instead came in 8th after being picked 3rd and netted me only 12 points. However, on the bright side my other allowance runner (for the contest) was picked 2nd and won over a field of 13, so he netted me 24 points. I guess 36 points isn't bad but 51 points would have been much nicer... To top it off, I also gave some thought to entering my MC in the contest... picked first of 13 in the field... she won and was claimed... Ha... I'm positive we have all had times when we "out guessed" ourselves. Always go with your first instinct... Hope everyone had a great week... Larry
