Pretty good week for the bjbandit/bigkev stables with 35 runners, 8 winners and 4 placings. Swiftsure won a Gr III and looks to be a handy 2yo. It is extra gratifying because he is out of my Gr I winning mare Vanguard so I am having a lot of fun with him. Maspero won a nice stakes race as well. She is looking like a really nice filly/mare and very versatile, winning on the grass and the dirt as well as over sprints and a mile. The other winners were just nice allowance winners and a couple of claimers, although Proserpine impressed me with a nice maiden win and I think he is going to be a good horse over a bit more ground. Hope everyone else enjoyed some success and I look forward to hearing about it.  |
