Can anyone explain what the different kind of races are.
I understand Claimers and Maiden Claimers. I also get stakes and Graded Races but what confuses me a little is MSW, NW1x, *125, Starters, etc....
Please help. Plus this would be good for new rez members.

MSW is Maiden Special Weight. An allowance race for Maidens nw1x is horses who have never won a race except maiden, msw, starter allowance or claimers nw2x same as above except never more then 1. NW2L is horses who have never won 2 races of any kind lifetime NW2s is horses who have not won more then one race of any kind in six months NW2n same except 9 months NW2t same except 3 months *125 is for horses with CPU value 125 or less. *25 for horses with CPU value 25 or less. These are usually allowance races, but sometimes claimers. Starter Allowance is allowance race for horses who have ran in claimers in the last 6 months. A $13,500 starter will allow any horse which has run in a $13,500 claimer or less in the last 6 months. Your horse page will tell what his starter tag is if any and how long it is good for.
This is all explained better in the instructions.

Add to Jim's NW1X category starter allownaces. A horse can win starters and still qualify for NW1X, NW2X, etc.
