Here is a review of one "feature" race from each of my 4 stables.
WELL BANDED. 3yo Dixieland Band filly. One fluke win on yielding turf made me attempt turf several times with no success whatsoever. Back to the dirt today at 9.5f she wins for the first time at this distance. On dirt at 8f or higher her record is now 4-2-1-1.
MOONLIGHT MILE 3yo colt of E Dubaix x Danzig x A.P. Indy. Showing a knack for coming in 2nd place in short turf stakes races. Today he ran a most dissapointing 6th place at the Sir Bro Bonanza Stakes.
Good old CYBORG SID. Can't beat anyone in the graded ranks. But is always in the money in the minor stakes. Looked to have an easy victory at the NH Stakes today, but STORM AND FUHRY made up 8 lengths down the stretch to beat SID by a head. CYBORG SID in ungraded stakes now has a record of 7-3-3-0.
THREE DAY BENDER was a late saturday night credit breed using Afleet x Unfuwain x Chicanary Slew. He usually shows up well in minor stakes, but always a bust in Grades. Today was his fastest time yet and good enough for 2nd place. I think longer races may be the answer here.
