As soon as I thought I was figuring this game out I got my butt handed to me.
If someone finds themselves with some extra time. If they could check my main stable (ellowyn) and point me in the right direction or provide some severely needed pointers.
One question is should I continue to train until they are sharp?
I had a 6 to 1 horse today get embarrassed in a race today? Was it because he was only Ready To Go?
Am I shooting to high for some of these horses? Am I scheduling them in the wrong races?
Any imput would be great!!
Thanks everyone.

well i train my horses for a week i want them to race then i race them basically no matter what, I would also tell you to try and keep your fillies in filly only races and see if that will help.

I definitely wouldn't race them unless they are sharp for starters.
For your starters today, the 2 year old doesn't look like much.
For the other, look for a low level claimer like 2 or 5k and see what you can do.
Do you have much cash? You can buy some nice maidens in the auction each week. If you need some cash, put one in the auction and let me know which one it is, I'll get at least 200,000 for it if you need it.

here is an example of what i do........Horse #37743 her last race was at only ready to go, And she got a 106 and a few others, The sharp thing is not that big of a deal. I would also look for horses that can earn some bp's even in claiming races don't get to attached to some of your horses

Ellowyn's Pride looks like a disappointment. Try again at both surfaces, but you should be safe to put into claiming races. Has not shown anything yet to make him look attractive and it did not cost much to breed. Also not a good idea to run 2yo horses with so little training time. This time of year should be 4 weeks off minimum to get a idea of what he can do.
Lucky's Cappy could improve on dirt and be tried on turf oce more also.
L'Rod Carcass. Run in very short dirt, cheapest maiden claimers you can find. If he cannot earn checks there then claim something better and get rid of this one.
Western Lights. Long dirt, cheaper maiden claimers might be his nitch. Otherwise, there are better horses then this in those same MCL races that you can claim.
Double Wild Cherry has won some claimers, but you can see is totally beat in ALW. CPU allowances maybe if you could qualify for CPU*50 or less, but I think yours is just over 50 CPU. But even in claimers it will be a struggle to find races you can win. But I think she may run back in the 70s if you put her in the proper class. Also try to avoid running against boy horses unless you have a short field.
Allen Pride peaked when he was 3 or 4. I would look for low level claimers NW2L. Not a bad $1 auction pick-up if you c an find a nitch where he can be productive.
I think Carsonova needs to skip a sharp cycle and maybe recharge batteries. Then look for more restrictive claiming races.
Star A.P has run off track 5 times and won 3 of these. Albeit cheap claimer or starter.

I have been running them for whatever week they are trained.
As far as cash I have about 13k.
Thank you very much Jim. That will be very helpful. Next I will have to get you to explain to me how you derived those ideas.
