Had my first graded race and she took 3rd in a grade 3 stakes....very excited about that one. Star WestHad another stakes win with this 2 year old filly...who knows what she can do if she keeps up this pace Genna Lou HooAlso had a maiden win with this filly, first time out, she won. Don't know much about her yet, we shall see. LUCKY'S STORM CAT

MRlucky those are some really nice horses, a 3rd in a graded race is very hard to do and those to youngsters look very promising, over 100k already in just 6 races, very nice.
I have been very busy lately and my stables have taken a beating, but thats OK now I know that the time spent picking the right surfaces and time off and selecting jockeys etc etc actually do matter in your horses performances.
I have stocked this year way more 2 yr olds then any year so far and my goal is the Kentucky derby or oaks. I have never had a TC runner. I kinda feel like this is my major goal this year, not winning the race just getting there would be enough.
This year it seems that my most talented youngsters are female as I have 6 that I am really high on so the oaks seems the path, but I do have one colt that I am paying special attention to as my one chance to be derby bound and that is Mine Go Easy 104612 who seems like he will love more ground as he was still coming on in both mile attempts.
This has nothing to do with my week which was poor but reading about Mrluckys great horses sparked my response.

My week 2678 was one I would prefer to forget but I ended up 45-3-6-3 for the week.
I picked up a MSW win with TEDDY'S MANIA in a rodots race on friday--that was one of the horses i bred in a crazy afternoon several months ago when i went wild on the blind breeding button.
JUNIOR RUG picked up a win in a 5K starter allowance.
SLAP SMART picked up a win in a NW2L allowance race.
I had tried a stakes start for JUNIOR RIZZO who was running well in allowances in JAPAN for me but he finished 11th and seems to have a pattern of a super outing followed by a lesser outing and keeps that pattern. The horse is 10 years old but had 100+ SR in 2 of last 3 outings with a 106 last time out so I tried the stake but he found it to difficult. Note that while the horse is 10 years old it is it's first year of racing and he has won 3 allowance races for me since I picked him up for $1 at the auction so I cannot complain about the return in value. I will just keep trying the allowance races for now.
Hope everyone else had a good week and will have one coming up this week.
Teddy ;D

The six female 2 yr olds i am high on are as follows
STONE MOUNTAIN id # 107737 THEATRICAL FOG(IRE) id #98430 PINETARIAT id # 108510 ULTIMATE EMPIRE id # 10321 NIIMIMAA id # 101542 LORD STANLEY #107740
Now I know that none off these fillys have won a stakes race yet so I am far off from my goal I just feel they have the promise to be great and I only need one off then to continue to improve to have a shot at the oaks come may.
