Bill... I would like a clarification on one of the rules for the 10 week contest... it states in the rules... "You can race in any of these races but you are only allowed 1 graded race, and no more than 2 stake races so you must choose wisely." I always interpreted this to mean that you are allowed a maximum of two stakes races only and that includes the one graded race. In other words you would be allowed... 2 ungraded stakes races or 1 graded race and 1 ungraded stakes race But only two "stakes" races total... afterall... a graded race IS a stakes race. Is this correct? Or are you allowed 1 graded stakes and 2 ungraded stakes? If that is the case I've been operating under a wrong assumption, and perhaps someone else was too... but then again I should never assume anything... LOL. Larry

Thanks bigmike... I think, unfortuately for me and the way I interpreted it, that you are probably correct. I just always thought of stakes races consisting of two major types... graded (1,2, and 3), and ungraded... hence the way I took it, only two stakes races... one of those that could be graded. No problem... what is done is done... live and learn... never assume anything... LOL. To be perfectly honest, I think I am out-growing my desire to compete anymore... call it old age, late age maturing, or a desire to find something more meaningful. Larry
