In doing a prize horse breeding for the res (credits from Mr. Lucky), I was thinking it may be fun to give this horse to the winner on a contest involving only horses that are sired by first year sim sires.
The prize horse is:
Borrego X Grand Slam
The contest:
Breed a 2 YO using any sire that is in his first year of SIM sire duty. A list can be found under the quick sires link, under the breeding category.
Any 1st year sire can be used, no bp or credit limit.
Mr. Lucky has agreed to buy 1 race, and I will buy the other. The 1st race will probably be end of April / beginning of May, with the second to be 5 weeks later. There will be 1 dirt and 1 turf race.
Points will be awarded on a 14 - 1 basis (14 for 1st, 13 for 2nd, etc.) and added up after the 2nd race.
The horse with the highest 2 race score wins the prize horse for his trainer.
Lets get the breeding started!!

great minds think alike nameless!
I'm not even sure why I went with Too Much Bling! Liked his lines and just wanted to try something new. So far I've had the best results with Borrego as a 1st year sire.

Please correct if I'm wrong but is this contest just "one horse" total per owner or is it one horse for each surface/race per owner. Also... what is the size of the field set to... the normal 14 or more like 20? Thanks! Larry |

how about a dirt/turf sprint 5.5f - 6f
and a dirt/turf distance race. 9f
